The workbook for the self centered spouse is here for download.
A word to leaders, You don’t need to be counselors, to do this group. Forming your group: individuals rather than couples, ideally men and women separately, 6–10 people. Meeting in homes is fine as long as the room is private, which fits how you work. There is a sample invitation that churches can put in a bulletin or post online. A group covenant that members can sign. A 90-minute session timeline. Handling hard moments: someone crying, silence, one person dominating, advice-giving, venting, and someone realizing they are the self-centered spouse. When someone is not safe: step-by-step guidance for abuse, suicide risk, and children being harmed, including mandatory reporting. Leader notes for all 11 sessions: the key idea, background on the Scripture passage, what to watch for, and a tip for each one. A referral list for leaders to fill in with local counselors and services. A resources table and a section on leader self-care.
